Use of the chatbot

This website has an integrated free chatbot system that allows users to interact with it to obtain information about activities, experiences, events, trips, stays and other practical information about tourism in the Region of Murcia. The chatbot works through Artificial Intelligence, is based on ChatGPT from the company Open AI, so that the user interacts with a computer system previously trained and configured to provide information on the above content. Insofar as the system is based on ChatGPT, in the absence of the legal conditions provided herein, the terms of service and privacy policy of the company Open AI will apply.

Specifically, the use of the chatbot will be governed by the following conditions, which the user accepts from the moment they use said service. If you do not accept them, you must refrain from using the chatbot.

• The use of the chatbot is the sole responsibility of the user, who declares to be of legal age and legally capable of assuming the obligations and responsibilities that derive from its use. In the case of minors, its use must be authorized and will be the responsibility of their parents or legal representatives.
• The chatbot is intended to offer exclusively information related to tourism in the Region of Murcia. However, like any Artificial Intelligence system, the results and information it may provide could escape the above purposes and depend to a large extent on how the questions are formulated and on the training and guidance to the answers carried out by the user. INSTITUTO DE TURISMO DE LA REGIÓN DE MURCIA has carried out the corresponding tests and verifications to limit the use of the chatbot, although it cannot guarantee unexpected, unforeseeable or unrelated results to the intended purposes, and will not be responsible for the effects, damages and losses of its own or of third parties in case of not making a use in accordance with these conditions.
• The information provided by the chatbot is not necessarily exhaustive, complete, or valid. INSTITUTO DE TURISMO DE LA REGIÓN DE MURCIA does not guarantee the above nor the suitability of the chatbot’s responses or guidance for specific purposes, beyond providing mere information or guidance. The chatbot includes content moderation, although the contents are not subject to human supervision before being offered to the user.
• The user agrees to make use of the chatbot exclusively for the purposes and object determined in these conditions and in accordance with good faith and current legislation. In particular, the user must not introduce illicit content or information or that harms rights or interests of third parties, in particular in matters of data protection, honor, privacy and self-image, intellectual and industrial property, confidentiality, trade secrets or others, nor introduce information or personal data of their own or of third parties.
• The use of the chatbot implies that the data entered by the user may be used later for the training, validation and improvement of the chatbot. The user acknowledges and accepts that said data, duly dissociated and with the corresponding security measures, may be used by Iurban Digital Tourism, S.L., company with NIF B93470094 and address at calle Steve Jobs 27, Oficina 9, 29590 Málaga (Spain), in order to improve the service and optimize its responses in the interest of INSTITUTO DE TURISMO DE LA REGIÓN DE MURCIA, and that they will be hosted in the computer systems of OpenAI, L.L.C., with address at 3180 18th St., San Francisco, California 94110 (United States of America), which implies an international data transfer. The conversations will only be stored in the user’s browser for a period of thirty days. You can exercise the rights of access, rectification, opposition, deletion, limitation to the treatment and, where appropriate, portability of your data, in the legally foreseen conditions and by writing to the email protecciondatositrem@listas.carm.es. Likewise, we also inform you that you can file a claim with the Spanish Agency for Data Protection, in case you consider that the processing of your data is not adequate.
• The operation and configuration of the chatbot may be subject to modifications, updates and improvements. INSTITUTO DE TURISMO DE LA REGIÓN DE MURCIA reserves the right to limit, suspend or block its operation due to the above.
• Failure to comply with these conditions will imply the expulsion of the user from the chatbot. In the event that the possible commission of crimes is detected, it will be transferred to the competent authorities.
